FAQ

How much does it cost?
$399.00

How long does it take?
For weekend reservations allow yourself to spend the entire day. We encourage jumping on weekdays. Tandem classes last less than one hour. After the class, the time it takes for you to jump has a few variables such as weather, if we are busy that day, and when you signed in. Ideally a tandem jump can be completed in 1.5 hours. Please remember though, be prepared to spend the entire day.

What else can I do in Twin Falls?

depending on group size discounts may be applied. Please call us with your group size.

Are there age restrictions?
Yes, you must be of legal age to tandem base jump, and in the U.S, that is 18.

Are there any size/weight/other physical restrictions?
Yes. You must be capable of an active lifestyle, under 180 lbs, and physically proportioned.

Can I get a video/pictures?
Absolutely! Our media package comes with the jump and includes a high resolution video.  We can also arrange a photographer to take still photos for and extra 60 dollars per jump (Just ask ahead of time).    As jumpers always say, “If it’s not on video, it never happend!”.

Can I jump by myself the first time?
No. At Tandem Base, your jump must be tandem, in which you’re harnessed to the front of a highly experienced instructor. If you would like to continue to learn how to base jump on your own, you will want to take up skydiving and complete 200 skydives, then you can sign up for a BASE first jump course with Sean Chuma.  The FJC is four days long and is held at the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, ID.  Email TandemBASE for more info.

What’s the landing like?
Most landings are quite soft, with many people doing stand-up landings. Sometimes, especially on calm days, the forward speed of the parachute will provide you with a smooth sit-down sliding landing. To achieve a safe landing, the student MUST follow the instructor's commands.

Can I jump again the same day if I like it?
Generally yes, just speak with us.  It is dependent on availability of the instructor.

What if I come out and take the class and decide not to jump?
As discussed in the purchase agreements, there are no refunds. We will reschedule your jump at no cost if it is necessary due to weather. Should you decide not to jump you can pay a reschedule fee of $100.00.

Do you jump all year long?
Yes, weather permitting the jumping season never ends. Winter jumps are some of the most beautiful. Wind comes and goes and we can make jumps on many days year round.

Is it safe, can I get hurt?
BASE Jumping is not safe, but it can be done safely. BASE jumping is like any other extreme sport, there are inherent risks that require careful training and execution. Failure to follow that training can lead to serious injury or death. The equipment has improved considerably over the old-style round parachute and is so reliable that, when used properly, BASE jumping can be as safe or safer than any other extreme sport. . That being said, there is no perfect parachute, no perfect instructor, no perfect weather condition, and for that matter no perfect student.

Will I be a BASE jumper afterwards/Can I jump by myself afterwards?
You will have entered the world of base with your first base jump. Just as in skydiving, a single tandem does not prepare you for solo jumping, but it is a start to whatever path you decide to take in jumping.  Special BASE progression programs are available and do include at least 200 skydives before BASE jumping solo.  Email for more info on BASE progression.

Can I jump a Building, Antenna, or Cliff too?
Most tandem base jumps are made at the Perrine Bridge. We do offer exotic jumps in special locations around the world.  The cost is much higher so please contact us if you would like to travel to jump other objects.   If you are interested in jumping all four objects in BASE (Building, Antenna, Span, and Earth) Contact us for details.  There are less than 5 people in the world that have accomplished this so it is a prestigious feat.

Are physically disabled people able to jump?

Our lead instructor Sean has taken many disabled people on Tandem jumps all over the world.  It may be possible.  Please get in touch with us and we will see if we can come up with a plan.
